Admiralty, November 23, 1907. WITH reference to your letter of to-day's date, I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to transmit for the information of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, a telegram dated the 23rd instant, from the Admiralty to the Commander-in-chief, China Station.

WITH further reference to your letter of the 29th September, Foreign Office ask that, unless compensation is received within a reasonable time in the case of the "Sainam," you will act on the suggestions contained in your letter with regard to the patrol of the Canton waters.
